Beat Hotel 2000
words in red are links
The Beat convention turned out to be a mighty wine drinking session in a cool little bar in a village outside Montpelier, where an exhibition of the photographs of Harold Chapman was on display, Harold who is eighty years old turned up to bask in the glory of his archive which a friend of mine has bought. His early photos of Kerouac, Ginsberg, Borroughs, Corso, Gyson etc., taken at the Beat Hotel in Paris , and a massive amount of Soho and Kings Road studies are realy cool. Barry Miles ( Borrough's and Kerouac's biographer ) was there , he read my book in one sitting and gave me realy good vibes. We sampled a lot of good wine and now I am back in the home land of the Guinness.
Cheers
