Bethel
2000
The Woodstock
Nation Rendezvous
in Bethel)
every
year since1969.
The focus is always been on the 14th,15th,16th
and 17th,of August, but for the early birds it began on
the 4th of July. Some people are making plans for the weekends
before and after.
The Rendezvous
is always something more than a concert or political
rally. Camping in the woods, free
love and great music is automatic in a congregation of peaceful
people.. Meaning different things to different people. There is no ticket
charged for a free gathering.
The people who have the most fun are those
who have a friend in Sullivan
County who will let them camp over during the reunion dates.
For
self defense Roy Howard and Jeryl
Abrems have had to make
a clear constitutional stand by putting the emphases onthe
right of free peaceful assembly for the purpose of petitioning the town
, county, and state, for redress of damage done under color of law.
Jerel Abrems is founder of the Green
Party in
Sullivan county New York.
Perhaps a clear voice of reason will also
appear.
But the main reason we continue to meet
in Bethel every August is, we like the
people we meet at that time.We like the Woodstock vanue because
every participant can wear or not wear a costume of choice.and be charitably
tolerated. It is accurately a Gathering of the
Tribes.The agenda is loving awareness.
