Gardner Ramsey, Veteran of the"Battle of San Jacinto", and founding of the Republic of Texas, in 1836 was a pioneer of the "Bear Flag Republic" (California) in 1848. He married Mary Jane Lowe (Low) in1865 and resided in Sonoma California. His daughter Salina Salome Ramsey married William Frederick Sperber in 1883. From that marrage sprang two daughters , Augusta Alberta Sperber and Loree Sperber. Augusta Alberta Sperber married Bernardus (Ben) Eggink of Utrecht, in the Netherlands, in1903 and gave birth to 3 children, Bernard Francis Eggink, Loree Eggink and Garrett John Eggink. In 1936 Ben and Augusta founded the oil field boom town of Wasson that became Denver City, Texas. Bernard Francis Eggink married Ann Catherine Hickey in 1937 and fathered, Daniel Francis Eggink, Susan Lee Eggink and Ann Loree Eggink in San Francisco, California.
