| The following are the purposes of the
Foundation contained in our Certificate of Incorporation which is filed
with the State of New York as a not-for-profit corporation and we have
received our not-for-profit Certificate of Incorporation from the New York
State Department of State. (Filing as a corporation enables us to hold
title to property.)
"The Corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for religious and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as now in effect or as may hereafter be amended ("the Code") The purposes for which the Corporation is formed are: a) To obtain, maintain, manage, and hold in trust, the remaining 38 (approx) acres of the historic Max Yasgur's Farm' in Bethel, NY, where 500,000 people gathered to experience 3 Days of Peace, Love and Music during the 1969 Woodstock Festival, (hereinafter referred to as "the site") |
