Ghosts of  Woodstock
Dance to the songs of
David Crosby and Graham Nash

They may just be better than ever
From the  keyboard of Mark Young--Mahwah, New Joisey

My 16 year-old son, Harry, and I had the pleasure of seeing Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (no known relation) this past Monday night at Madison SquareGarden in New York City.
Having been a fan of these 4 since the mid-60's, (Byrds, Hollies and Buffalo  Springfield), I was very excited about this reunion tour. However, I was also a little concerned that the toll of 35 years of hard living and some nasty habits might have diminished their abilities. I was prepared to enjoy the
memories and focus on how good they once were. There was no need. The guys were happy, lookedhealthy, and put on a fantastic show from 8:15 till 11:45. From the most beautful Nash and Crosby harmonies in "Guinnevere" to the hardest rock Young and Stills could conjure on "Woodstock" or "Ohio", lots of great songs were sung and lots of great music played. They even threw
in the bonus of a great rendition of "Eight Miles High" from Crosby's days with the Byrds. A special moment for me was when they started "Teach Your Children" -- Harry leaned over and gave his old man a big hug. Priceless! The sold-out crowd was a real mix of people of all ages including many
baby-boomers who survived the 60s, and some who are still there in spirit. Everybody had a ball even though traffic was pure hell, and parking cost $35. If CSNY comes anywhere close to your area, go out of your way to see them. You'll be glad you did. They may just be better than ever.
Friends, Have a wonderful Spring!
