"I  met Allen Cohen and Danny Rifkin on a spring day in 1964 when my partner Theo (Edward Theobald Stevens) took me to Allen and Laurie's apartment near the Market Street entrance of San Francisco's Twin Peaks Tunnel. It was a memorable day because it was the first time I sampled L.S.D." excerpt from "Thunderbird Boogie" byDaniel Francis Eggink

 "Jewel's Song"
Here we are, the children of the psychedelic generation.
The manifestation of our parent's frustrations.
Wielding the powers of destruction and creation.
We are the children of the psychedelic generation.
The result of our parents acid tests, peyote quests,
fourty years of pot smoking and all they could have done without.
So, here we are the children of the psychedelic generation,
and how are we doing?
Let's ask the men in the white coats standing behind the dark glass.
They say, "Yes, we are quite psychicaly powerful and vulnerable".
Those mysterious little doses they handed out to our parents in San Fransisco
have equipped us with supernatual powers of destruction and creation.
What are we doing with it?
And what's with all the negative input anyway?
We are the children of the psychedelic generation
and we are setting our mind's eye on eternity.
We say,  "Heal that one, and that one."  Are we praying?
We are commanding the works of the hands of the living God.
We cry, "Here, Father, our eyes are open.
They were opened in the womb. We knew all before we were even born.
We are surrounded by those who would have us destroy ourselves and each other."
We cry, "No!  We will wield our power for Creation!
We are the children of the psychedelic generation."
