LINCOLN
WOODROW WILSON
Lincoln calls himself "a native american. afro american,
anglo american" when describing his ethnic roots. He was raised a Baptist,
adopted Buddhism and practices traditional native folkways in the Catskill
community of Woodstock, New York.
Why Woodstock? Because in 1902 Ralf
Radcliff Whitehead, a very wealthy Englishman bought a cluster of farms
around the hamlet of Woodstock and started an international artists colony
creating an oasis of intellectual, artistic and religious tolerance.
In 1969 two local business men promoted the historic concert in
Bethel, New York that became known as WOODSTOCK. 10 years later
a Tibeten monistary was founded in an old hotel on a nearby Meads
mountain and Lincoln arrived to help on the construction.
